Microsoft Unveils Upgraded Surface Devices with Snapdragon X2 Plus Processing
Microsoft is revamping its Surface lineup by upgrading two of its smallest devices. The new versions of the Surface Pro and Laptop will feature Snapdragon X2 Plus processing, a performance boost that should improve overall performance. The upgrades are part of Microsoft's effort to refresh its product line after phasing out some of its older models.
The Surface Pro 12-inch now features a 500-nit PixelSense touch screen, which is 25% brighter than its predecessor. It also comes with new configuration options that include 16GB or 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage.
The Surface Laptop 13-inch has also received a similar upgrade, with the same improvements in display brightness and processing power. Both devices will be available on October 13, starting at $1,149 for the Surface Pro and $1,199 for the Surface Laptop.
