Microsoft's 25th Anniversary Xbox Priced at $899

Microsoft has officially announced the price of its special-edition Xbox Series X console to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The limited-edition console, which features a translucent green shell and is laser-etched with a unique number, will cost $899. The console will launch on November 13th alongside a matching controller with the same colorway.

Preorders for the console start August 27th at 10AM ET / 7AM PT, although some of Xbox's most dedicated fans will receive early access preorder emails starting today. Each console will come with a full-game download of Halo: Campaign Evolved and will feature 1TB of storage under its special-edition shell.

The controller that comes with the special-edition console is also available to pre-order separately starting today for $79, and launches October 20th. Microsoft announced the 25th anniversary console at the Xbox Games Showcase in June and has since released a collection of matching limited-edition accessories, including an 'OG Green' keyboard, mouse, earbuds, and mobile controllers.
