Microsoft's Anniversary Sale Unbundles Aircraft Packs, Discounts MSFS 2024

Microsoft's anniversary sale has brought some significant changes to its Flight Simulator franchise. For existing owners of MSFS 2020 or MSFS 2024, it is now possible to purchase the aircraft from the Aviator Edition in three packs of ten. These packs are priced at $39.99 each and include a mix of Local Legends and Famous Flyers planes.

The first pack contains propliner-era machines such as the Junkers Ju 52 and the Boeing 307 Stratoliner, while the second pack includes turboprops like the ATR 42-600 and 72-600. The third pack is home to the Antonov An-225 and other notable aircraft.

Meanwhile, new players can take advantage of a 30% discount on MSFS 2024, bringing the price down to $48.99 on Steam. This is the largest reduction the sim has had so far, following previous discounts of up to 25%. The base sim is also available at a lower price, with FSX and other older titles seeing deeper cuts.

Additionally, Microsoft is giving away its newly released soundtrack, 'Themes Reimagined', which includes 21 previously unreleased pieces reworked from the trailer scores by Finishing Move Inc. This offer is only available on Steam until September 1.
