Microsoft's Gaming Division in Crisis Mode Amid Layoffs and Studio Consolidation

Microsoft has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons lately.

Just weeks after laying off hundreds of employees from their gaming division, the tech giant has consolidated several studios and brands without any apparent consideration for the consequences.

The fallout from previous layoffs is still ongoing, with Ninja Theory's Hellblade studio potentially closing down instead of finding a new publisher for their nearly-complete game Senua.

This move comes on the heels of Obsidian being folded into Bethesda and Rare being pushed to the backburner at Activision.
