Microsoft's Ryan Roslansky to Leave Company in 2026 Amid Senior Exodus
Ryan Roslansky, Microsoft's former head of LinkedIn, is leaving the company at the end of 2026. In a memo to staff, CEO Satya Nadella praised Roslansky for putting the organization in a strong position.
Roslansky had been leading both LinkedIn and Microsoft's Office group since 2025. He will be relocating from California to Redmond, where Microsoft is based. The decision was reportedly made due to his family's life being in the Bay Area.
Roslansky joined LinkedIn in 2009 as head of product and became CEO in 2020 after Microsoft acquired the platform for $26.2 billion. Under his leadership, membership grew from 700 million to 1.3 billion. He also oversaw the growth of LinkedIn's revenue, which rose by 11% in the year ending June.
This is not an isolated incident at Microsoft, as several senior leaders have left the company this year, including Gaming chief Phil Spencer and Rajesh Jha, who ran the experiences and devices group.
