Midcaps Rally on FII, Mutual Fund Buying Spree

Institutional investors are driving up share prices in several midcap stocks. Over the past six months, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) and mutual funds (MFs) have increased their holdings in 28 common stocks within the Nifty Midcap 150 index.

Among these stocks, 17 delivered double-digit returns during the period. Ten standout midcaps rallied up to 65% in just six months, supported by rising ownership from both FIIs and MFs.

The top-performing names include Radico Khaitan, which surged 64% over the past six months, with FII stake increasing to 18.20% and mutual fund holdings rising to 22.05%. Premier Energies gained 33%, with institutional investors accumulating shares in the June '26 quarter.

Honeywell Automation India appreciated 18% over the last six months, with FII stake rising to 3.94% and mutual fund holdings edging up to 10.05%.
