Minecraft Heads to Nintendo Switch 2 with Vibrant Visuals Graphics Mode

Microsoft has revealed the release date for Minecraft on Nintendo Switch 2. The game will be available starting October 27, 2026, and will come with a new feature called Vibrant Visuals graphics mode. This mode will be used by default, except in split-screen mode where it won't be available.

The company has also stated that owners of Minecraft on the original Nintendo Switch will receive a 'digital upgrade path'. Details about this upgrade are still to be revealed, but it's likely to provide a discounted option for players who want to upgrade to the new console version.
