Minneapolis Activists Condemn Honeywell's Role in US War Crimes

Minneapolis-based activist groups gathered to condemn Honeywell's production of weapons parts and its complicity in U.S. war crimes. The panel, titled 'To Hell With Honeywell,' highlighted the company's $500 million contract with the Department of Defense and its role in manufacturing inertial measurement units (IMUs) for missiles and military drones.

The IMUs are used by Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and General Atomics to target people across the globe. The Minneapolis location is unique as it is the only place where these specific IMUs can be produced without a significant delay in production, according to the Department of Defense.

Local organizers from the historic 'Honeywell Project' shared their experiences with disrupting production and damaging Honeywell's reputation over the years. They explained how organizing led to massive actions, extensive engagement, and thousands of arrests between 1980 and 1987.
