Mishawaka Extends Water Lines for Microsoft Data Center

Mishawaka is extending its first city water lines north to serve the Microsoft data center site in Granger, as well as other developments along the Capital Avenue corridor. The project will cost $6 million, with Microsoft funding the extension.

The county is serving as the project manager and has awarded a contract to HRP Construction, the low bidder for the job. Once completed, the water lines will be turned over to the city to own and operate.

This move is seen as a win for the area, as it provides municipal utilities that can benefit not just the Microsoft data center, but also nearby residents and potential future developments along the corridor.
