Missouri Partners with Google for Statewide Free AI Training Program

The state of Missouri has partnered with Google to provide free AI training to nearly 100,000 educators and 1.1 million students across the state. The partnership aims to 'empower educators, students, and job seekers' with critical job-ready and AI skills at no cost.

According to Governor Mike Kehoe, this partnership reflects Missouri's commitment to ensuring its workforce is equipped with the skills needed to stay competitive in an economy rapidly reshaped by AI. The training courses are designed to help users strengthen their skills and gain job-ready AI skills that will prepare them for high-earning careers.

The tools provided through Google's Grow with Google initiative include flexible online courses, which can be accessed directly through K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and local Missouri Job Centers. The four areas guiding the state's rollout of these tools are support for educators, customized learning, research and brainstorming, and digital citizenship.

Rigorous standards for data security and privacy have been built into the foundation of Google's education tools. This partnership is part of Google's effort to give residents no-cost access to secure, cutting-edge AI tools, training, and certifications.
