Moderna Stock Soars Ahead of Key Cancer Therapy Presentation
Moderna's stock price surged in regular trading on Thursday, closing at $194.82 after jumping 6.98%. This gain comes ahead of the European Society for Medical Oncology Congress 2026, where the company will present trial data on its mRNA-based individualized neoantigen therapy.
The therapy, called intismeran autogene, has shown promise in treating various cancers. Moderna's lead abstract, to be presented at the Presidential Symposium, covers Phase 3 trial INTerpath-001, which evaluates intismeran plus Merck & Co.'s pembrolizumab versus pembrolizumab alone in resected stage IIB-IV melanoma patients.
In addition to the lead abstract, Moderna will present two poster presentations detailing data on pancreatic and early-stage non-small cell lung cancer. The company's stock has been steadily rising over the past year, gaining 655.41% since last year, with a current market capitalization of $77.78 billion.
