Mom Delivers Big: Kentucky Family Saves for Disney with Side Hustle

A speech-language pathologist from Kentucky decided to take on a side hustle to save up for her family's vacation to Disney World. Haven Broady, 39, was determined to make $2,500 in just over a month without sacrificing time with her daughters.

Broady applied to several gig apps, including DoorDash, and was approved almost instantaneously. She started by working with her husband, but eventually took her daughters along on delivery runs, which they enjoyed so much that they would often ask when their next trip was.

In just 34 days, Broady hit her goal of making $2,500, thanks in part to a generous gift from another mom who sent them a $50 gift card. She learned several hacks along the way, such as taking advantage of rainy days and mealtimes for delivery runs.

The experience not only helped Broady reach her financial goal but also brought her family closer together. They're now looking forward to their trip to Disney World in August, where they'll be able to put their hard work into practice with 'Disney bounds' outfits.
