Coca-Cola Consolidated has been an integral part of Monroe's community for nearly three decades, and its commitment to investing in the area has not gone unnoticed. In June, city officials visited the company's local facility to present it with the first payment from a performance-based grant.

The grant is designed to reward companies that continue to invest and grow in their communities. Coca-Cola Consolidated has indeed done just that, supporting over 75 jobs in Monroe since its arrival in 1996.

One of the company's initiatives is its on-site academy, which provides training and development opportunities for employees in skilled trades such as refrigeration, electrical work, and plumbing. This not only strengthens the local workforce but also contributes to the economy.

Jed Thomas, vice president of equipment services at Coca-Cola Consolidated, expressed pride in the company's commitment to the community: “Monroe has been an important part of Coca-Cola Consolidated’s story for nearly three decades, and we're proud to keep investing in this community.”
