Monster Beverage Accelerates Growth with International Expansion
Monster Beverage has been one of the top consumer stocks over the past two decades, making long-term investors extremely wealthy. Despite being a multibillion-dollar beverage company, it's showing signs of accelerating growth again.
The company's core business is developing and marketing energy drinks under various brands, including Monster Energy, Monster Ultra, Juice Monster, Reign, and NOS. It primarily sells its products to bottlers and distributors, who then place them on shelves in convenience stores, supermarkets, and other retail channels.
Coca-Cola is a key partner for Monster Beverage, providing it with a global distribution network. This partnership allows the company to focus on what it does best: building brands and creating consumer demand.
Two main reasons are driving investors' attention now: Monster Beverage's continued growth at an unusual rate for its size and its international business gaining momentum. In the second quarter of 2026, revenue increased more than 20% to $2.5 billion, with the core energy drinks segment growing even faster.
International sales jumped 34.6% to $1.16 billion in the same period, accounting for roughly 46% of Monster Beverage's total revenue. The company is leveraging Coca-Cola's distribution network to expand its presence globally.
