Monsters Inc. Land Construction Reaches New Milestones
Disney's Hollywood Studios is nearing completion of its massive Monsters Inc.-themed land expansion. The Globe Theater, which will house an original show called Welcome to Monstropolis! With Sulley & Mike, has recently received new signage, a crucial milestone in the project's progress. While the land won't open all at once, guests can expect to enter Monstropolis in phases starting next year.
The Globe Theater is being transformed into a Monstropolis venue, and its marquee will feature eye-catching decorations inspired by monsters' eyes. The show within the theater, featuring original music from Randy Newman, will bring the world of Monsters Inc. to life for park visitors. This latest development marks significant progress toward the land's completion.
Monsters Inc. coaster, a major attraction that will replicate the iconic door-vault sequence from the 2001 film, is still under construction and won't debut until later. The phased opening strategy allows Disney to introduce completed experiences as they're ready, rather than keeping the entire area closed while work continues on the coaster.
