Monstropolis Clock Tower Revealed as Scaffolding Comes Down
Disney's Monstropolis is taking shape at Hollywood Studios as construction progresses on the new land. The Glob Theater clock tower, a prominent feature of the area, has seen most of its scaffolding removed, revealing the red brick facade.
The exposed brickwork shows gaps in the corners and lower portion of the tower, which will likely be filled with green-gray decorative trim and piping, as shown in concept art presented at D23. The rest of the Glob Theater remains hidden behind scaffolding, although some beige scrim has been rolled up.
Work continues on the former Gonzo's Royal Flush location across from the theater, where scaffolding blocks much of the building from view. The entire Monstropolis area will be open in phases starting in 2027, with details on dining and shopping venues already shared by Disney.
