Monstropolis Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios Set to Open in 2027

Disney has confirmed that its new Monstropolis land in Hollywood Studios will open in 2027, but an exact date is yet to be announced. The land will feature a first-of-its-kind suspended roller coaster, known as the Door Coaster, although it won't be opening with the rest of the land.

The Glob Theater, located in the old Muppet*Vision 3D building, will be home to a new theater show called 'Welcome to Monstropolis.' The show will feature a brand-new song written by Randy Newman, making it his first Disney park contribution. Mike and Sulley will host the show.

The land will also include two dining locations: Archie's Scare Pig Pizza and Harryhausen's. Archie's will be a quick-service location serving pizza, while Harryhausen's will have a 'menu unlike anything else' featuring a full Animatronic of the Chef. The shopping location in the land will be called the Scareporium.
