Monstropolis Takes Shape at Disney's Hollywood Studios
The construction of Monstropolis at Disney's Hollywood Studios is making significant progress, with the massive Monsters, Inc. door coaster show building rapidly rising into the sky.
According to recent ground-level photos, the steel framework of the door coaster's show building has expanded significantly since July, with roof structures now extending across several portions of the facility.
The two tall structures supporting the attraction's vertical lift systems can be distinguished near the center of the building. Guests will board suspended trains near the floor before being raised more than 40 feet toward the ceiling.
The new land, Monstropolis, is currently under construction on the site of the former Muppets Courtyard and is set to open in phases beginning next year.
