Mooca Celebrates Eastern Europe at Free Cultural Festival
The Immigration Museum in Mooca, São Paulo, will host the 4th edition of Viva! Eastern Europe on September 19 and 20, 2026. The festival celebrates Eastern European traditions with free admission, featuring a wide range of cultural activities.
Visitors can sample traditional dishes from countries such as Poland, Bulgaria, Lithuania, and Russia, including kremówka, butter cake, plov, and theperestroika burger. The menu also features unique drinks like kvas, a fermented beverage called the 'Coca-Cola of Eastern Europe.'
The festival will include live performances by dance groups and choirs from Eastern European communities, as well as themed attractions dedicated to the Nordic peoples. Film screenings of Soviet and Russian classics will take place in the museum's auditorium.
