Morningstar Relocates Global HQ to Google's Thompson Center

Financial services firm Morningstar is relocating its global headquarters to Google's newly renovated Thompson Center in Chicago. The company will occupy 275,000 square feet at the property and plans to move in late 2028 from its current office at 22 W. Washington St.

Morningstar CEO Kunal Kapoor said in a news release that the company is 'proud to continue building our future here.' As long-term investors, we believe in backing people and communities with enduring potential,' he added.

The Thompson Center renovation started in 2024 and was initially scheduled to finish in 2027. However, Google officials announced earlier this month that it would open in 2028 instead.
