Motorcyclist Crashes into Protesters During Amazon Walkout in South Riverside
A confrontation between Amazon workers and a motorcyclist turned violent in south Riverside on Wednesday, September 2. The incident occurred during a walkout at an Amazon facility, where employees were protesting with Teamsters Local 396.
According to Officer Javier Navarro with the California Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist pulled up to the group and spoke to protesters before leaving and turning around to strike two of them. The protesters then pulled the driver off the motorcycle and assaulted the rider as well.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident just before 10:30 a.m., and all three parties involved were hospitalized but stable, sheriff’s officials said. No arrests have been made, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
