MSFT Sued for Allegedly Misleading Investors on Copilot Product Issues
Rosen Law Firm, a global investor rights law firm, has reminded investors of a class action lawsuit against Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT). The suit is on behalf of purchasers of common stock between May 1, 2025 and January 28, 2026.
Much of the alleged misrepresentation revolves around Microsoft's Copilot family of products. According to the complaint, defendants made false statements about their business operations during this period, specifically claiming that Copilot had experienced significant brand positioning, user experience, usage, data siloing, computational capacity, organizational, and interoperability problems.
The lawsuit also claims that Microsoft's flagship proprietary AI model ranked well below competitors on a number of benchmark tests. Furthermore, the complaint states that the company needed to divert billions of dollars in capital expenditures from fulfilling demand for its profitable Azure services to improve Copilot's competitive positioning and increase AI-related research and development.
As a result, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages when the true details entered the market.
