MSPs Must Prioritize Ongoing Security Efforts in Microsoft 365

Derik Belair, co-founder and CEO of Augmentt Technology, emphasized the importance of ongoing security efforts in Microsoft 365 for managed service providers (MSPs). He noted that 'security magically never improves; it only ever gets worse over time.'

'You've got to stay on top of it all the time,' Belair said. 'So identity, we always say that's the No. 1 step. If you're going to do anything, really start to wrap your hands around that.'

Augmentt's platform aims to bring Microsoft's security capabilities together for MSPs to manage multiple tenants in one place. This includes creating security baselines and monitoring environments for changes.

'Microsoft has done an actually incredible job at giving system admins a lot of tools and a lot of portals and a lot of configuration,' Belair said. 'Now, the reality is these tools are available to almost everybody.'
