Mt. Hermon Baptist Church Mourns Passing of Faithful Member Raymond Moon Crane

Raymond Moon Crane, a devoted husband and father of two, passed away on September 20, 2026, at the age of 91.

Born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia on May 23, 1935, to Nannie Sue Moon Crane and Claude Swanson Crane, Raymond served his country by enlisting in the U.S. Army before embarking on a successful career as the manager of the Danville Sherwin-Williams Paint Store.

A faithful member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church for over 70 years, Raymond's dedication to his faith extended beyond Sunday worship services; he served as a Sunday School teacher, Deacon, Trustee, and Lay Speaker at the church.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife Lois Brumfield Crane, daughter Carolyn Sue Stephens, son Edward Crane, five grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on September 22, 2026, at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, followed by interment at Highland Burial Park.
