MYR Group Shines Amid Industrials Sector Struggles

Instruments
MMM
Share

The industrials sector has been underperforming the market over the past six months, with a 2.3% return lagging the S&P 500 by 10.6 percentage points. Despite this lackluster result, there are still some diamonds in the rough that can produce earnings growth no matter what.

One such stock is MYR Group (MYRG), which has seen an exciting sales outlook for the upcoming 12 months calling for 19.4% growth. The company's share repurchases have also amplified shareholder returns, with annual earnings per share growth of 90% exceeding its revenue gains over the last two years.

However, not all industrials stocks are created equal. Otis Worldwide (OTIS) and 3M Company (MMM) are two that may face trouble due to their sluggish demand and falling earnings per share.
