Nadella Hails Seattle-India Tech Ties at 'IDEAS4INDIA' Forum
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella recently attended the 'IDEAS4INDIA' forum in Seattle, where he praised the city's growing technology ecosystem and its deepening ties with India. The forum brought together over 40 Indian-origin tech CEOs and CTOs from various sectors, including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and enterprise software.
Nadella noted that he has watched Seattle's technology community grow over the past 35 years and is pleased to see it forming strong relationships with India. He described artificial intelligence as a general-purpose technology whose benefits depend on its widespread adoption across countries, communities, and sectors.
The forum focused on strengthening the India-US technology partnership, particularly in areas like AI infrastructure, data centers, semiconductor design and manufacturing, quantum research, talent and skilling, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing. Several US companies, including Microsoft and Amazon, have announced major investments in India to expand their presence and operations.
The 'IDEAS4INDIA' forum is expected to become an important platform for deepening India-US technology ties, aligning with the India-US TRUST Initiative. This initiative aims to connect innovation ecosystems and advance collaboration in various fields, including AI, quantum technology, semiconductors, space, telecommunications, and biotechnology.
