Nadella Sees Potential for India's Developer Community
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has highlighted India's burgeoning technology workforce as a potential foundation for establishing the world's largest developer community by 2030.
Nadella made these remarks during discussions held in Seattle, where Indian-American tech executives deliberated on fortifying collaboration between India and the United States across sectors such as AI, semiconductors, quantum computing, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing.
Microsoft has committed to fostering essential infrastructure, skill development, and sovereign technological capabilities needed to nurture an AI-centric economy in India. This comes after the company announced a $17.5 billion investment in India between 2026 and 2029, its largest financial commitment in Asia.
