Nasdaq Hits Record High as Dow Falls
The Nasdaq Composite index set a fresh intraday record on Tuesday morning, rising 0.3% as of 12:06 p.m. ET.
Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.6%, with financial stocks leading the decline and removing about 286 points from the index.
JPMorgan Chase's 3.5% drop alone accounted for 72 points, while Travelers' 2.8% fall contributed another 62 points.
The S&P 500 essentially stayed flat with a 0.1% drop between these extremes.
