NBC Commits to $1B Investment in Nigeria Amid 75th Anniversary Celebrations
The Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) marked its 75th anniversary in Nigeria with a renewed commitment to investing in the country's growth. At an event attended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's representative, NBC reaffirmed its long-term investment plans, including expanding manufacturing capacity and supporting young entrepreneurs.
NBC has operated in Nigeria since 1951 and has expanded to eight plants, 11 depots, and 52 commercial territories across the country. The company's operations have supported employment, local sourcing, talent development, community investment, and economic activity in various sectors.
An economic impact study found that the Coca-Cola system contributed around $1 billion in value-added economic activity in Nigeria in 2024, supporting over 160,000 jobs. NBC has committed to investing up to $1 billion in Nigeria over five years, subject to a predictable business environment.
