Neagley Spinoff Gets Season Two Renewal at Amazon
Amazon has renewed its spinoff series 'Neagley' for a second season. The show follows Frances Neagley, played by Maria Sten, as she navigates her past and seeks justice after a friend's suspicious death. The series, based on the books by Lee Child, premiered two weeks ago and reached 40M viewers in its first 13 days on Amazon.
Neagley has become Amazon's fourth most-watched series debut, with more than half of its audience coming from international viewership, particularly in the UK, Germany, and Brazil. The show was renewed just after Amazon announced it would be producing six seasons of its parent series 'Reacher', which stars Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher.
Co-showrunners Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton are set to continue working on the project alongside Child, Don Granger, Sam Hill, Adam Higgs, and Lisa Kussner. Head of Global Television at Amazon MGM Studios, Peter Friedlander, praised Sten's performance in the series, calling it 'commanding' and 'layered'.
