New Bedford Businesses Prepare for Storm-Related Flooding and Wind Damage

New Bedford's Cove Walk and Harbor Walk are closed as local businesses prepare for an incoming storm. The area is bracing for potential flooding and high winds, with some business owners worried about the damage.

Cisco Brewers, a popular brewery in the area, has been preparing for the storm for days. 'We're more worried about the flooding and the wind,' said Robert Bruno of Cisco Brewers.

To minimize damage, the brewery has locked down every piece of furniture and removed most of its signage ahead of the expected high winds. The storm has also disrupted plans for a big weekend of blues and barbecue at the brewery.

The brewery had three large parties with reservations scheduled for the weekend, but all events are being moved indoors. However, the storm's impact on employees is significant, with many relying on tips from those events.
