New Grand Floridian Entrance Causes Confusion for Disney Guests

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has introduced a new entrance, which opened on September 10. The actual entrance gate remains in the same spot, but guests must now navigate through a different roadway to access it.

The previous entry point via the southern roundabout is now blocked by concrete barriers, and guests are redirected to the northern roundabout. A 'Grand Floridian Turn Right' sign appears before entering the roundabout, guiding guests towards the correct exit.

After passing through the roundabout, guests proceed through a traffic light at the old Floridian Way, then turn right onto the southbound lane of the old roadway. This path leads to the resort entrance, but only the southbound lane is currently open to cars.

Guests who miss the turn will see a flashing LED sign indicating the correct route. The new system also affects guests exiting the resort, as they must navigate through the northern roundabout and make a full loop before leaving Walt Disney World property.
