New Jersey Food Council Taps Ex-Coca-Cola Executive as Next Leader
The New Jersey Food Council has named Jim McGreevy as its next president and CEO, succeeding Linda Doherty who is set to retire in January 2027. McGreevy will leave his position at The Coca-Cola Co., where he led federal advocacy efforts in Washington, D.C.
With a background in government affairs, McGreevy previously spent eight years as president and CEO of the Beer Institute and held senior roles with the American Beverage Association. He has been recognized for his work, including being named one of Washingtonian magazine's '500 Most Influential People Shaping Policy' from 2024 to 2026.
The New Jersey Food Council represents nearly 400 entities across the state's food industry, which accounts for more than $157 billion in value. McGreevy will oversee areas including operations, membership, sponsorships, communications, and financial management.
