New US Cargo Airline Planned at CVG with Boeing 737-800 Freighters

A new US Part 121 cargo airline is planned to be based at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, according to Andrew Maas, vice president of government programmes for Naniq Government Services. The proposed operation will use Boeing 737-800 freighters and recruitment is currently underway for key roles, including a director of operations and a chief pilot.

The search extends beyond required qualifications, with the company seeking leaders motivated by the chance to build and shape an operation from its earliest stages, covering certification, manuals, processes, systems, organizational structure, team development, and operational readiness. Experience with the Boeing 737-800 and with cargo airline operations would be particularly valuable.

Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport has been working to strengthen its air cargo capabilities at its Global Logistics Park in order to raise volumes. The airport demolished older cargo facilities last year to clear the way for new infrastructure intended to help cargo carriers and freight forwarders move products more efficiently.
