Newcastle United Rejects Stadium Naming Rights Deal
Newcastle United has agreed several lucrative sponsorship deals in recent months, but the club is not rushing to sell the naming rights of St James' Park. In fact, sources close to the club have confirmed that they intend to retain the stadium's name for now.
The club has already secured a major sponsorship package with KNOX, which includes renaming the training ground and placing the hydration company's logo on the front of the first-team shirt. The three-year agreement is reportedly worth around £80 million in commercial revenue.
Newcastle also confirmed this week that the St James' STACK would be rebranded after a new multi-year partnership with Coca-Cola. However, despite speculation about a potential naming-rights deal with Adidas, club sources have strongly denied any such agreement.
