NFL London Games to Boost Capital Economy by Over £90m
NFL London games are expected to bring in over £90m for the capital's economy when they take place this weekend. The matches, which return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Wembley Stadium, will see fans from around the world flocking to the UK.
According to research by American Express, fans attending the games are expected to spend an average of £453 per match, with over 90% coming from outside London. This includes ticket costs, travel, and accommodation expenses.
American Express cardmember data showed that last year's total spend was 10% higher than the previous year, while Sports Consultancy Group analysis for the NFL states that the 39 matches played in London so far have contributed to more than £2bn in economic impact.
