Nike Sales Miss Estimates in Q3 CY2026 Earnings Report
Nike's Q3 CY2026 earnings report revealed a decline in sales below analyst estimates. The athletic apparel brand generated $11.21 billion in revenue, down 4.3% year-over-year from the same period in 2025. This marks a continuation of Nike's recent trend, with its constant currency sales averaging a 4.8% annual decline over the last two years.
Despite missing Wall Street's revenue expectations, Nike's GAAP profit of $0.48 per share beat analyst estimates by 9.9%. The company's operating margin remained stable at 8.1%, in line with the same quarter last year. However, investors were likely disappointed by the lackluster performance, as shares dropped 6.3% to $33.00 immediately after reporting.
Nike's outlook for fiscal 2027 is also cautious, with revenues expected to decline high-single digits and non-GAAP diluted earnings per share projected to be between $1.15 and $1.35. This suggests that the company may continue to face challenges in adjusting its cost base to choppy demand.
