Trust Co. of Vermont has acquired a significant position in shares of NIKE, Inc. (NYSE:NKE), buying approximately $1.616 million worth of stock during the second quarter. The company disclosed this information to the Securities and Exchange Commission.

This is not an isolated instance, as several other hedge funds and institutional investors have also been increasing their stakes in NIKE over the past few months. For example, Principle Wealth Partners LLC grew its stake by 34.9% during the second quarter, while Capital Financial Group Inc. Co. ADV lifted its holdings by 66.3%.

Despite these positive developments, investors remain cautious due to concerns about the company's turnaround efforts and declining sales in China. Analysts have also been downgrading their price targets for NIKE stock, with some predicting a potential price drop of up to $50.66 from its current level.
