Nike Stock Sees Almost Double Potential as Analyst Predicts Turnaround

Nike's stock price has plummeted by nearly half over the past year, but one analyst sees a path to almost doubling from here. According to Tom Nikic of Needham, who carries a Buy rating and a $75 price target for Nike (NYSE:NKE), the company is on track for a significant turnaround.

The key to this turnaround lies in Nike's wholesale channel realignment, franchise cleansing, and strategic re-rating tied to CEO Elliott Hill's operational pivot. Nikic believes that renewed shelf space at Dick's Sporting Goods, Foot Locker, and specialty running stores will be the primary volume engine, reversing years of over-indexing on direct-to-consumer sales.

However, not all analysts share this optimism. The consensus forecast remains cautious, with 25 out of 39 analysts holding a Hold rating, while 2 have a Strong Sell rating. The average analyst price target is $50.46, implying roughly 31% upside from the current stock price.
