Nokia Boosts DDoS Protection in Spain Through ESpanix Partnership

Nokia has strengthened its network security business in Spain by deploying its Deepfield Defender solution across Madrid and Barcelona platforms. The company's DDoS protection technology combines AI-powered network analytics with its Deepfield Secure Genome security intelligence to detect and mitigate attacks within seconds.

The initiative expands the reach of Nokia's DDoS protection technology to over 200 national and international networks connected to ESpanix, the country's largest Internet exchange point. This allows ESpanix to mitigate attacks without redirecting traffic to external scrubbing centers, keeping Spanish Internet traffic and security operations within the country.

Nokia faces stiff competition from Ericsson and Cisco Systems in the network security domain. However, the company's solution delivers security directly within network infrastructure, enabling networks to respond to increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.
