Nokia Expands Microsoft Tie-Up for Telecom Network Automation
Nokia has extended its partnership with Microsoft to develop an AI-powered platform for telecom network automation. The collaboration combines Nokia Data Suite with Microsoft Fabric, allowing operators to bring together network, enterprise, and third-party data for AI-driven operations.
The solution is designed to work across multi-vendor and cross-domain telecom environments, including cloud, hybrid, and on-premises infrastructure. It integrates ready-to-use telecom data products from Nokia Data Suite with analytics, governance, and AI capabilities from Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Foundry, and Power BI.
According to Nokia, the integration will allow operators to use AI agents across the network for tasks such as automated root-cause analysis and closed-loop operations, while maintaining human oversight. This is expected to reduce the time needed to prepare network data for AI applications from weeks to minutes.
