Nollywood Star Ogogo Dies After Stage-Four Cancer Battle
Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, also known as Ogogo, battled stage-four cancer before his death at age 66. His aide, Olu Ogogo, shared details of the late actor's health battle.
Ogogo initially complained of chest pain during a trip to Ilaro and was taken to a hospital for treatment. He was advised to rest but later requested to travel to India for further treatment. However, the visa process delayed his trip by the time it was obtained, Ogogo had become too weak to fly.
A doctor from India recommended moving Ogogo to another hospital in Lagos where specialists began treating him. Initially, Ogogo appeared to be responding to treatment and could eat little by little. However, his condition deteriorated rapidly about five days before his death.
