Northern Cape Schools Get Digital Skills Boost from Cisco and Hanley Group
Cisco Networking Academy and Hanley Group have partnered to bring digital skills training to schools in Northern Cape, South Africa. The initiative aims to equip learners for a world shaped by AI, automation, cyber security, and connected technologies.
The partnership will reach 235 schools across the province, with classes starting in February next year. The program focuses on closing several priority skills gaps, including foundational digital literacy, responsible use of AI, digital safety, and networking.
Cisco Networking Academy provides the curriculum, online learning platform, and instructor materials at no cost to participating schools. Hanley Group will handle technical onboarding, classroom setup, and quality assurance.
Learners from grades 10 to 12 can earn Cisco course-completion certificates and digital badges, with progression towards entry-level industry certifications in IT support, networking, and cyber security.
