Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Co. has bought a new position in The Travelers Companies, Inc. (NYSE:TRV), purchasing 63,201 shares valued at approximately $13,935,000 in the second quarter.
This is not an isolated instance of institutional investment in TRV; several other funds have recently modified their holdings of the company. HHM Wealth Advisors LLC, for example, increased its stake by 145.7% in the first quarter, while Whipplewood Advisors LLC and Kilter Group LLC each acquired new positions worth $26,000.
TRV's stock has seen a surge following earnings reports that revealed underwriting discipline. The company's quarterly revenue was up 0.3% compared to the same period last year, with a net margin of 16.95%. Research analysts anticipate TRV will post $33.82 EPS for the current fiscal year.
Travelers Companies has also announced a dividend payment of $1.25 per share on September 30th for investors of record on September 10th.
