NVIDIA and Microsoft Remain Undervalued Despite Robust Growth
The Magnificent Seven group of tech stocks has been at the forefront of market growth in recent years, with NVIDIA (NVDA) and Microsoft (MSFT) being two standout performers. Despite their strong gains, these companies still offer attractive valuations for investors.
NVIDIA's dominance in the AI hardware space is a major factor in its success. The company's latest results exceeded expectations, with revenue surging 106% year-over-year to $96.2 billion and adjusted earnings per share (EPS) jumping 120% to $2.22. Data Center revenue was particularly strong, increasing 117% year-over-year and 18% sequentially.
Microsoft has also posted solid results, with sales up 18% year-over-year and earnings up 23% year-over-year. The company's Intelligent Cloud segment, which includes its Azure cloud computing platform, delivered a 32% year-over-year increase in revenue. Microsoft shares currently trade at a 24.1X forward 12-month earnings multiple, which is a solid discount relative to the five-year median.
Both companies offer attractive valuations, with NVIDIA trading at 16.4X forward 12-month earnings and Microsoft trading at 24.1X. These multiples reflect a high discount relative to their long-term growth trajectories, making them appealing investment options for those seeking solid earnings power.
