Nvidia Announces Record Share Buyback Amid Rising Stock Price
Nvidia's stock is trading higher after the company announced its largest share buyback authorization in history, worth $235 billion.
This move comes as Nvidia aims to meet optimistic earnings and revenue forecasts for the future.
The record buyback authorization, which includes an additional $150 billion added by the board of directors, will be executed through fiscal 2028.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said, 'Our cash generation gives us the capacity to invest in the technologies that advance this transformation and return capital to shareholders. This authorization reflects our confidence in the long-term opportunity ahead.'
The company's stock price is up 2.3% to $230.28 on Monday, with a year-to-date increase of 21.9%.
