Nvidia Boosts Buybacks to $235 Billion as AI Demand Ramps Up
Nvidia, the company behind popular graphics cards and AI computing technologies, has announced that it will be adding $150 billion to its existing share repurchase authorization. This move takes Nvidia's remaining buyback capacity to about $235 billion, extending through fiscal 2028.
The decision gives the company additional flexibility to return cash to investors while continuing to fund its business. As cash generation has increased, Nvidia has expanded its repurchases, with buybacks totaling about $10 billion in fiscal 2023 and nearly $34 billion in fiscal 2025.
Nvidia's Chief Executive Jensen Huang said that the company can continue investing in new technologies while returning capital to shareholders. The company's latest authorization comes as it continues to benefit from demand for AI computing.
