Nvidia Boosts Stake in Elon Musk's SpaceX Amid AI Push
Nvidia's $99 billion portfolio has undergone a significant reshuffling, and one tech stock has risen to prominence.
The company's investment in Space Exploration Technologies (SPCX) is now its second-largest holding, valued at around $21 billion as of the end of fiscal Q2 2026.
Nvidia's position in SpaceX was a result of its initial $10 billion investment in xAI, which merged with SpaceX in February. Upon completion of the merger, Nvidia received private SpaceX shares that converted into public company shares when Elon Musk's company went private in June.
The close relationship between Nvidia and SpaceX is likely to continue, given that Musk has centered data center build-outs at the heart of SpaceX's growth initiatives. As a top purchaser of high-performance GPUs and CPUs, SpaceX will be a key customer for Nvidia's next-gen processing hardware.
