Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is pushing back against concerns that AI poses an extinction risk to humanity by 2030. In an interview with CBS News, Huang said there's a '0 per cent chance' of such a scenario unfolding.

Huang has been vocal about his stance on the safety of AI in recent days, arguing that the technology can be managed safely and doesn't need new regulations. He also emphasized the importance of continuing to develop AI without slowing down, stating 'we should go as fast as we can' but ensuring products are ready before release.

Huang's comments come after Anthropic PBC employee Jacob Coxon sparked a wave of AI unease with his resignation earlier this month, warning that researchers building AI 'earnestly believe it could kill us all by the end of the decade'. Huang dismissed these concerns, saying 2030 won't be the end of the world.
