Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang: Supply Bottleneck Constricts AI Infrastructure Growth
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang emphasized that the growth ceiling for his company is supply, not demand. In an interview at Goldman Sachs' annual technology conference, he stated that global AI infrastructure investment remains in an acceleration phase.
The global AI infrastructure market could reach $3 trillion to $4 trillion by 2030, according to Huang's estimate. He noted that Nvidia's fiscal 2027 revenue growth expectation of roughly 70% reflects a 'supply ceiling', if supply were more abundant, growth potential could be even greater.
Huang attributed the industry's shift towards AI infrastructure investment to the fundamental change in global computing architecture from traditional 'retrieval-based computing' to real-time content generation through 'generative computing'. This new paradigm requires establishing a continuously operating new computing layer, necessitating powerful NVLink and scale-up capabilities.
